Programs for Children & Youth

At the Newmarket Gospel Hall programs for children and youth are an integral part of our activities. It is our desire that every child and young person who attends will find out they need God's salvation, and that they will accept the provision for eternal life that God made for them in the person of Jesus Christ, when He died on the cross for them.

All of our programs are absolutely free. Fees are never charged and collections are not taken. Parents are always welcome to attend with their children if they so desire. In addition, for all programs transportation is available in selected areas of Newmarket. Please contact info@newmarket.gospelhall.com or call 905-853-1430 to arrange a ride or if you would like any additional information.

Sunday School
Sundays 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
There is a general opening with singing, prayer and a story lesson. This is followed by small, age-alike classes from pre-school to teens. The focus is on teaching the gospel with salvation as the end result. Added to this is the desire to enrich the lives of those who have already become Christians. There is, therefore, a secondary focus on presenting practical lessons for spiritual growth. Transportation is available in selected areas of Newmarket, please contact events@newmarket.gospelhall.com for details.

Hobby Night
Fridays 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., regularly two 8-week sessions per year

This program is for young people of age five to teens. It begins with a fun Bible song and scripture memorization session, followed by a message from the Bible. Age-alike groups then move to craft tables where they are shown new skills and are given the opportunity to create a take home project. Click here for photos from Hobby Night. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Upcoming Sessions: October 16 to December 4, 2009 and January 8 to February 26, 2010. Click here for additional information

Daily Vacation Bible School
Each summer children 4 years and up are invited to join us for a fun week of Bible stories, singing, games, memory verse challenges and crafts. Part of the time is spent with all children together and part is spent in age-alike groups doing craft projects. In 2009, DVBS ran from Monday, August 10 to Friday, August 14, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each day. Click here for additional information from DVBS 2009. The dates for DVBS 2010 are to be determined.
